A focus for your next round

Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Keep the objective visible.

Aim for this result

Clear your nine carrom men after the queen is covered. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Return to the instructions when a step is unclear.

A walkthrough of the rules

  1. White starts; set striker aim and power.

  3. Cover the queen with an own-colour man in the same or next shot.
  4. Striker fouls return one own pocketed man if available.
  5. Finish your colour after a covered queen.

Keyboard and screen controls

Touch to aim; sliders set power and angle; striker-position controls and Shoot. Read a button’s label before selecting it. A new-round button replaces the current round.

Work through an example

Queen and own man in one legal shot cover immediately. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Notice the change in the playing area.

Notice this detail

The last own man returns if the queen remains uncovered. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board.
